Ina Garten is a well-known American cook book writer and Emmy award winning host of Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa which began in 2002 and aired 27 seasons until 2020. Ina began working in the White House as a writer of nuclear energy policies as well as the budget. She initially found her career as stimulating intellectually, however she soon lost interest, and purchased a tiny speciality store for food named Barefoot Contessa. It took her nearly 18 years to make the shop extremely successful before she closed the business. After that, she started writing her first cookbook. Several other books and magazines followed. The Food Network television program also was launched and soon became a hit. She also sells a range of items ranging from cooking materials to equipment and storage containers. Ina, who is self-taught and has not attended a culinary school or in a hotel. Ina is well-known for her easy approach to entertainment and simple food preparation. Her most well-known recipes are Skillet and Roasted Lemon Chicken Mac and cheese Beef bourguignon, Mac and cheese with Beatty's Chocolate Cake as well as Lemon Bars.
